Rose Cottage's Dogs
or the successes of Mia ("Rottiron Riva")!

Here are some pictures of Blade. First off are two of him at his first show aged only four months. He was the first ever baby puppy to be shown in Ireland and he won his class!! Then two of him naughtily resting on the furniture - where he's not allowed.  Now does he know that I wonder...?

More of our dogs... Here you can see Kaya, Mia, Kaya and Blade with Kaya's brother Demon on arrival at a dog show, in a custom built kennel for travelling!!

Here's a newcomer to Rose Cottage!  Meet Blade.  He's a wee boy, only 10 weeks old here and already getting the hang of things at the yard..

St Patrick's Day Dog Show in Dublin, 2010 (Actually "The St Patrick's Celtic Winners Show") was attended by Mia with Kate and her family as well of course!.  Mia came SECOND and was graded Excellent.  Here are a few pictures of that day.  It's no wonder she wins so many prizes!

Mia, Kate's Siberian Husky, qualified for Cruft's in 2010, and, though she showed well, she was not placed. She had taken Second Prize on Sunday 28th February at the Newtonards championship show and was graded Excellent. She had also taken Best of Breed at Belfast Queen Island Show in 2009.
Here are some pictures taken at Cruft's 2010

In late September 2009, Kate took Mia  to the Belfast Championship Show and won SECOND Prize!!  Then in mid October at the Portadown Championship show she came THIRD. Later in October she's off to Dublin but now she's over one year old she is entered in the Junior Class there.  That might be harder!

Also, in August 2009, Kate took Mia (Show name "Rottiron Riva" to the Navan Dog Show and entered her in the Siberian Huskies, Puppy Bitch Class.  They won THIRD prize!  How about THAT?   Everyone was delighted!  Here she is waiting for the judge to be ready. The judge liked her and said it was a shame she had already shed her undercoat.  Mia was given a 'Very Promising' on her grading card which is the highest possible grade.

And, for those real fans of the breed, here's a video of her actually being shown...

And here is the 'Proof'!  The Results!!

In August 2009 Kate also acquired a Tri Coloured Merle Border Collie puppy, named Gazza. In the pictures below he is eight weeks old...
